NAMI at UMBC presents MyStory
If a person’s inner pain was reflected on to their skin as scars and bruises .. would people still be able to ignore them?
MyStory is an expressive event where students can share their struggles with mental health and receive positive support from members of the community. If you are going through a personal struggle, know that you are not alone and that things really do get better; our speakers are a living testament to that. Healing is an ongoing process, and one might not even know how to take the first step to recovery. Coming to MyStory and hearing the stories of fellow students who have found hope during dark experiences may help you find your own way of healing.
We welcome & encourage individual narratives, spoken word performances, dance performances, poetry, and any other creative/expressive art form. Please contact us if you would like to perform by emailing umbcnami@gmail.com
Join us for a night of support, recovery, and inspiration on March 13th from 6:30-10:00PM, doors open at 6:00PM.
There will be refreshments served.
We ask that you leave all judgments at the door and come with an open mind.
Hope to see you there!
