The semester project for Dr. Rothman's Machine Design class was a container crane, using a red brick to simulate the container.  The student teams had to design and build a crane, using identical motors and battery packs, that would lift the brick over a barrier and place it back onto the ground in a prescribed location.  Ten teams competed in a double elimination tournament on May 11 in the Engineering Atrium.
