The semester project in ENME304 Machine Design this semester was the design, construction, and testing of a launch system for a simulated unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) -- a 4lb. weight.  Working from a set of identical specifications, students worked in teams throughout the semester and applied machine design principles to the design and construction of the launch systems.  Performance was evaluated based on distance achieved and overall system weight.
