What do you do in the "heat of the moment"?

My name is Jessica Gause and I am a Peer Health Educator. This semester, I am working on raising awareness on campus about sexual assault and the topic of consent. Read the scenario below and let me know what you think by answering the poll. A related discussion with resources and more information will be posted following this poll in a few weeks. Thanks!
You and an old friend have begun to take an interest in each other that is leading to be more than just friends. You both hear about a party off campus and decide to go. There is alcohol at the party and you both begin to drink heavily. You begin to kiss and make your way to an empty room. Clothes begin to come off and the sexual tension is increasing. Your friend pulls out a condom. You are hesitant because you did not want to take things that far tonight, however, you remain silent and do not say anything to indicate a "yes" or a "no." Your friend begins to initiate sexual intercourse.
Was consent gained in this scenario?
