The Election Board has received complaints and as a result the candidates below have been penalized as follows:
1) Calvin Tran and his VP Rachel (Arkie) have received 2 strikes due to a violation of rule 18. Calvin downloaded private student information from the Reslife Database in order to mass email voters to advertise his campaign. When the election board originally confronted Calvin about this, he lied and said that he obtained the email addresses by other means. Calvin and Arkie are receiving one strike for the original violation, and a second strike for attempting to cover it up and lying to the election board.
2) Surovi has received a second strike due to a campaigner's violation of rule 11 in the RLC under her direct supervision. This interaction was observed by election board member Chris Kimberlin and the strike has been approved by majority vote of the Election Board.
