Participants in the program will conduct research and take part in group activities including seminars on cutting-edge areas of materials physics; workshops focusing on graduate programs, career opportunities in the physical sciences and engineering, and scientific communications skills; and field trips to laboratories on and off campus. You can get a better idea of these activities from the links above.
Experience carrying out scientific research is not a prerequisite for admission to the program. However, prior experience may be a considerable asset for some of the REU research projects offered each summer.

The program will run from May 30 through August 4, 2017
The deadline to apply is FEB 15, 2017
Benefits include:
