As we start the new semester, many summer research program deadlines are coming up (or have already passed). If you are still looking for a summer paid internship and don't know where to start, there are several resources the Undergraduate Research website offers.
You can look at programs under your department
The Undergraduate Research website has a myMajors page which lists the different departments. Under each department there is a list of research programs targeted for that field:
You can search through the Summer Research page
The summer research page lists many opportunities for graduate students, international students, STEM students, and so on. There is also information for application assistance and NIST/SURF.
Summer Research Opportunities Spreadsheet
The Summer Research Spreadsheet offers a long list of OVER 400 internships, fellowships, and programs for a variety of departments with deadlines that range from August to April. The list can be sorted by program host, deadline, whether there’s opportunities for freshman or international students, when the contents were last updated, and program title. There is also a section that lists the suggested majors for each opportunity. The list is constantly being updated with new opportunities and updated deadlines and information as they become available.
If you are still struggling to find a research opportunity, don't hesitate to utilize the many resources offered.
