Undergraduates studying agronomy, agricultureal sciences or engineering related fields are encouraged to check out this REU. The CenUSA Bioenergy Research Internship Experience for Undergraduates provides interdisciplinary training for students in bioenergy fields. 13 students are chosen to participate in one of the following areas:
- Feedstock Development
- Field-Level Sustainability
- Logistics
- Policy-Level Sustainability
- Feedstock Conversion Economics
- Markets and Distribution
- Health and Safety
- Commercialization
Undergraduates will gain vital skills in computer modeling, field methods, and/or experimental design by doing independent projects.
Students will receive a stipend of $450/week for the 10 week program ($4,500), as well as having housing provided on-campus and a travel allowance.
The program runs from June 1 - August 6 and the deadline for the program is March 1.
