Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)

How to Write a Personal Statement Workshop TODAY, TOMORROW!

Come to our "How to Write a Personal Statement Workshop" TODAY (Monday, 12/16 from 12-1PM in Sherman Hall 114 (Office of Undergraduate Education Conference Room).  If you have a personal statement/resume draft, today would be the ideal time to have it reviewed.  
A second workshop will be held TOMORROW (Tuesday, 12/17) from 2-3 PM in Sherman Hall 114 (Office of Undergraduate Education Conference Room).  

The SURF program from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is a great paid opportunity for students in physics, material science, chemistry, applied mathematics, computer science, or engineering. There may be research opportunities for students with other majors.

MOST applications for summer research require this document. All students interested in summer research are invited to attend and learn how to craft a strong statement.
