At UGA, you choose. The Integrated Life Sciences (ILS) Program allows first-year graduate students to explore the research areas of nearly 140 faculty in 10 different departments across 4 colleges, then choose a major professor and a departmental home within the first year.
Interested in molecular, cellular or developmental biology? Interested in evolution and ecology? Interested in a combination of these areas?Spend time working with faculty on animal, plant and microbial systems with someone doing bioinformatic or theoretical work -- without having to immediately choose which department the research program is housed in. |
