These are questions that we get all the time. If you have any more questions, please comment!
These answers are accurate for the spring 2015 semester.




---- When is practice? ----

  • Regular practice: Monday/Wednesday: 8:00pm - 10pm @ Stadium  Fri : 3pm-6pm @ Erickson Field
 We know that classes and homework happen and such. None the less, it is expected that you manage your time and homework so that you can be at practice whenever you don't have class. Consider Booya to be another course in your schedule.


 
---- How do I connect with Booya? ----

We use a few different channels to communicate with members of the team and to encourage interaction between members of the team.

  • This myUMBC group will be your main hub for official information about the team and team events.
  • Our two Twitter feeds @BooyaPink and @UMBCUltimate will be used to get information out quickly. All team members should follow @BooyaPink (text "follow @BooyaPink" to 40404 to receive tweets as texts) to receive reminders and announcements (sometimes last minute) about practices and other events.
    • @BooyaPink will be used for communicating with members of Booya.
    • @UMBCUltimate will announce scores and other successes to the UMBC community and beyond.
  • Our Facebook group Booya Ultimate will be used for less formal communication between team members. The timeline there may also be used to relay announcements from other channels.
  • Like to use Google Calendars? We keep our calendar of tournaments and other events up to date. Check it often. You can find it here.



---- How will Booya handle travel to/from tournaments? ----

  • Unless otherwise specified, we will be carpooling
  • Based off of sign-ups, captains will create a roster & drivers will be assigned
  • Drivers will be rotated each tournament.
  • The team will only pay a predetermined amount for far tournaments. To receive payment, drivers must fill up before leaving and then get a receipt upon return fill up.



---- How can we contact members, admins, captains and coaches on the team? ----

  • On campus, admins and captains live in Deep Creek 22.
  • Off campus, there are admins at "Yolanda's"
  • If you have questions about specific events, please post them on the event page.
  • Under documents, there is a player roster up with contact information
