Using the wireless on campus can be a little confusing when you are new to the campus. There are three different networks to choose from, UMBC Campus, UMBC Visitor, and eduroam.
Each has its own purpose, but the one network that people seem to not know about is eduroam. This network works at many educational institutions. The goal is to have one network for students no matter what university they might be attending. The upside for us is that you only should have to log in once with a device and your credentials are saved. Unlike UMBC Campus, eduroam doesn’t require to login every time you connect. Unlike UMBC Visitor, eduroam lets you access various UMBC services like wireless printing.
