Having received cost estimates for the built-in furniture for the RLC, some modifications had to be made because cost estimates came in higher than expected.  We are changing some of the custom work to off the shelf furniture,  looking at postponing the purchase of some other pieces, and keeping the option open to add them back into the list if other elements of the project come in under budget.  The key custom pieces are retained. 

The move of the Tech Support Center may start as early as July 5 with a trial setup in the designated space.  Furniture has been moved from elsewhere in the Library to border the TSC space, in what is probably the arrangement for the move-in.  The purchase order for three cubicles has been sent to Maryland Correctional Enterprises.  The posted drawing of the TSC space does not show the furniture arrangement as it now is, nor the exact dimensions and placement of the cubicles; contact Melissa Button if you are interested in seeing the exact cublicle dimensions which were provided by MCE.
