Part 5 of 5
Continuing with our IRB seminar, this week, Tim Sparklin, Director of Human and Animal Research Protections Office, Compliance Officer for UMBC, will present different scenarios about responsible conduct of research and integrity.
The UMBC PROMISE Success Seminar series for graduate students features a variety of topics to assist students with professional development. Wendy Martin of UMBC's Office of Technology Developnment, and Timothy Sparklin of UMBC's Office for Research Protections and Compliance, offer an annual seminar to students about patents, intellectual property, responsible conduct of research, and the Institutional Review Board. This hour-long seminar, held during Fall 2011, is available on the PROMISEagep channel of YouTube as a multi-part series. This online seminar is sponsored by PROMISE: Maryland's Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate (AGEP), a program of the National Science Foundation. The seminar was held at UMBC: The Honors University in Maryland.
