This is a spreadsheet of the requirements for every school in the Maryland area. I recommend copying and pasting the blocks of your desired programs onto a new doc to keep track of what you need.
The Pre-Physical Therapy Society has been established for the purpose of informing students about the diverse field of physical therapy, as well as giving a comprehensive breakdown of UMBC's Pre-PT pathway, how it can fit within their major, preparing students for the Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program application process, providing students with a support system of networking, volunteering, and interning opportunities, and supplying our members with credible resources surrounding GRE preparation, physical therapy sub-specialties, and salary and career growth.
Membership is open to any student who is currently on the Pre-Physical Therapy track or considering physical therapy, sports medicine, or personal training as future career endeavors.
General body meetings are held once or twice a month. We will go over a wide range of topics such as what is physical therapy, physical therapy sub-specialties like women's health, pelvic floor, geriatric, pediatric, sports, and neurological physical therapy, local internship/shadowing opportunities, physical therapy school admissions requirements, and current research in the field. There will also be workshops for GRE preparation, learning basic medical abbreviations, navigating PTCAS, interview day practice, and more!
