The four strategic planning strategy groups and the Foundations Work Group have vigorously pursued each of the research questions raised in their charges from the Strategic Planning Steering Committee. The groups' work spans the experiences of our undergraduate and graduate students and the infrastructure that supports our faculty and staff in research and education. Their research has been rich in exploration of campus data, as well as internal and external stakeholder input about innovative practices at UMBC and beyond.
Each group has developed a mid-year interim report describing its work to date, key findings, and emerging themes for:
- Innovative Curriculum and Pedagogy
- The Student Experience
- Collective Impact in Research, Scholarship and Creative Achievement
- Community and Extended Connection
- Building a Strong Foundation
These reports are now available to the campus community. Please take a moment to review them and share your thoughts and comments.
This is an important opportunity for campus engagement with the strategy and foundations groups as each continues to work on analysis of the collected data and begins to develop strategy recommendations that will include goals, objectives and measures of success. Your experiences and perspective shared through the fall campus survey and the feedback collected from your comments online will inform development of final recommendations due to the Strategic Planning Steering Committee in mid-April.
Thank you for your continued participation in the planning process.
