Voting Radio Buttons Not Available when in Discussion Poll
posted over 13 years ago
Has anyone experienced that after launching a myUMBC Group poll-type discussion that in some Internet Explorer (IE) 8 instances the radio buttons that are supposed to be next to the voting options are not there? I only noticed because I looked at a recent poll and noticed that a person replied with a comment, but did not vote. She informed me that she did not see anywhere for her to pick an option. Instead of using her computer I had her do a Remote Desktop connection to terminal.ad.umbc.edu to use IE 8 and she still saw the same thing. I even logged into terminal.ad.umbc.edu with my credentials and received the same results with IE 8. Now other people using IE 8 see the options fine and can vote. I even see the radio buttons on other machines using IE 8, but I haven’t found out what the difference(s) is yet. Also I tested this in Firefox and Safari and the poll radio buttons show up fine. I attached a screen capture in which the top image shows what the voting options should look like and the bottom one shows what is actually displayed on the staff member’s computer as well as the terminal.ad.umbc.edu instance.
Just curious if anyone came across this and if anyone has any ideas of why this is happening.
Thanks,
Steve
