How can we engage other groups at UMBC?
ISCOM Information Analysts - Stuff we do best

Does anyone else look at what the other groups are doing here on myUMBC? Do you examine what they're posting or communicating to their members through lack of content or worse - stale irrelevant content?
So tonight, while taking a look at a handful of groups around the myUMBC community, I had this idea for a way we can provide a service. This might be hard to explain and it might take a few comments from interested parties to get the idea fully fleshed out; but I figure I'd start somewhere.
Imagine if we, as a group, offered our expertise in managing information systems to other groups. We could develop a program where we train admins for managing a myUMBC group and in effect creating an experience that could be put on a resume for our ISCOM member.
The Information Analyst (IA) would be responsible for listing group events, entering in news items, managing group documents, transforming the wants of the group they're assigned to into reality and being a resource for developing their social media presence. This might also include managing the groups twitter feed and attending events in order to 'live' tweet coverage. You may also do some graphics work or network with other entities on campus to get assets created. It might be that the IA becomes a technical 'consultant' to the group as they navigate their approach to engage their members and the UMBC community at large.
An additional responsibility would be to implement a system of documentation that would inform future IA's assigned to your group upon graduation.
Is this totally out there or would anyone be interested in doing something like this? Not implying that this would happen tomorrow or anything; I'd just like to gauge what your interest level is.
