Have you ever wondered why you look up and see a dark sky at night?
The night sky is filled with many stars and looking through a telescope reveals even more of them. In an infinite universe, there should to be star in every direction you look.
That the night-time sky is mostly dark is known as Olbers' paradox. This short video does a good job of explaining why we experience darkness at night.
