NASA robot Curiosity to land on Mars at 1:31am Mon, Aug. 6
NASA's nuclear-powered Curiosity will be the largest man-made object to ever touch down on another planet. The semi-autonomous robot will search for signs of life, past or present, while scaling a three mile high mountain on Mars. The rover is set to land on Mars' Gale Crater at 1:31am EDT on Monday, August 6. NASA Television will broadcast live coverage of Curiosity's landing at 11:30pm EDT Sunday night and running until 4:00am EDT Monday morning.
