Frostburg State University’s Upward Bound program is seeking tutor/counselors for their federally-funded, six-week summer residential education program. This program designed to encourage and motivate qualified disadvantaged high school students to pursue post-secondary education, and to develop the skills and attitudes essential for success beyond high school.
Available June 10 - July 27, 2012 (tentative dates) and includes one week of training. Salary: $2,000 plus room & board.
Positions will: serve as residence hall small-group supervisors; act as tutors in various academic areas; chaperon field trips; conduct recreational activities; assist classroom instructors; conduct small group tutoring/study sessions; enforce a safe, positive and productive residence hall living environment.
