The Upward Bound Regional Math Science Center at Frostburg State University is seeking tutor/counselors for their federally-funded, six-week summer residential education program. This program designed to encourage and motivate qualified disadvantaged high school students to pursue post-secondary education, and to develop the skills and attitudes essential for success beyond high school.
Students in these positions will:
- serve as residence hall small-group supervisors
- act as tutors in various academic areas
- chaperone field trips
- conduct recreational activities
- assist classroom instructors
- conduct small group tutoring/study sessions
- enforce a safe, positive and productive residence hall living environment
