Ice Hockey Club

UMBC Ice Hockey was established in 1988, providing student-athletes the opportunity to continue competing at the collegiate level of hockey. Our values include Academic Commitment, Community Involvement, and Excellence Since its inception, our program has focused on developing well-rounded student athletes who are prepared for exhibiting UMBC's motto of true grit, both on and off the ice. In addition to their athletic commitment, our players are expected to maintain a quality GPA and are required to participate in the community. We believe these traits best prepare our student-athletes to continue their education in graduate studies or to directly enter the workforce.
