Hello UMBC Community Members! All of us at i3b are hoping that you are finding rest and peace during these summer months. You may have noticed that the group page that served as the i3b group...
Student Belonging is dedicated to creating a campus experience where every student feels seen, heard, and valued. Our mission is to foster a deep sense of belonging—where students know they matter, their identities are affirmed, and their stories are central to our community.
We support and engage the campus through five key areas:
The Mosaic: Center for Cultural Diversity
The Pride Center for LGBTQIA2+ Diversity
The Gathering Space for Spiritual Well-Being
Commuter Connections
The Office of Graduate Student Life
Together, these areas cultivate inclusive environments and provide identity-affirming spaces that celebrate the diverse, intersecting experiences of our students—especially those from historically marginalized communities.
Student Belonging collaborates with students, faculty, and staff to build a socially just campus culture. Rooted in radical love, equity, and community care, we are committed to co-creating lasting change at the individual, group, and systemic levels.
All events, groups, organizations, and centers are open for full participation by all individuals regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or any other protected category under applicable federal law, state law, and the University's nondiscrimination policy.
