Alejandro Ramirez Polania, Honors College Junior and Computer Science major, was flown to Seattle over spring break along with his UMBC teammates Ryan Brandt and Nisarga Patel, to compete in Microsoft's Build the Shield Cybersecurity Challenge.  Build the Shield is a national level college hacking contest hosted by Microsoft. It is a competitive hands-on hacking experience coupled with real-life scenarios; wherein you defend and attack competitors' servers to emerge as the winner.
