Honors College rising sophomore Skylar Pardue was recently named a 2015 Point Foundation Scholar. The Point Foundation is a nationally renowned LGBTQ Scholarship Fund that "empowers promising LGBTQ students to achieve their full academic and leadership potential--despite the obstacles often put before them--to make a significant impact on society." Pardue, a math major and linguistics and German minor, grew up primarily in Baltimore and graduated from Baltimore City College HS. Here at UMBC, Skylar was recently re-elected Executive Director of QUMBC and remains an active member of other LGBTQ organizations on campus. Congrats to Skylar!!
