Responsibilities: The graduate assistant position will be a part-time, (20 hours per week) staff position that will conduct programs and activities of the program focused on sexual assault and relationship violence education; and changing the campus environment around issues of violent crimes committed against women. Within the Victim Services Component of the Program:
- Act as Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence Response coordinator.
- Coordinate and train Sexual Assault and Relationship Violence Response Team (SARVRT) meetings
- Coordinating and partnering with the VAV Consultant Group to review case management
- Partner with the Title IX Coordinator to ensure campus procedures regarding the reporting of sexual assault and appropriate follow up occur
- Record and monitor an incident log and other documentation
Within the Educational Component of the Program:
- Oversee the Mandatory On-line Sexual Assault Prevention Education Implementation for Students
- Coordinate ongoing Program Requests with the Health Education Staff
- Develop and implement an orientation to new Peer Health Educators
- Provide education to other groups (Athletics, Greek) and Special Populations as needed
- Market the program to other campus areas
- Assist in coordinating major events:
- Domestic Violence Awareness Month
- Sexual Assault Awareness Month
- Consent Education Program
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Requires Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Preferred) in Psychology, Counseling, Health Education or related field and at least two years experience working in field. Higher education experience preferred.
Salary: Standard 12 month graduate assistant rate, health care benefits and tuition remission, start date July 1, 2014.
