The yoga session with instructor Leah Dinovitz looked like it wasn't going to happen when it started raining early this afternoon.
Our plans had been to spend a peaceful afternoon in the Garden, eating lunch with new friends, and doing some yoga. That didn't really work out. We ate lunch with new friends and did yoga - yeah - and the rain didn't stop us, thanks to Maura Smith and the RAs at Harbor Hall, who were kind enough to let us use part of their space for our yoga session, we were able to move our location on late notice.
Leah taught our class (of seven) a beginner's lesson. I personally have never done yoga before - have never been to a yoga class. Mainly, I just meditate. However, this was a really fun experience, especially because Leah's lovely personality is infectious. She was funny and personable, and the whole lesson was FUN. And the others who participated in the event were so kind and cool to spend time with - their vibes were just great! The whole event was great, and I'm feeling really relaxed and peaceful right now.
I just want to thank Maura Smith and the RAs of Harbor Hall for sharing their space with us - especially on such late notice - the participants of the event who brought food and provided a peaceful atmosphere in which to do yoga, and Leah, for being a wonderful instructor, who fought off the rain to get to us! Thanks so much, and I look forward to doing this event in the future with those people and anyone else who is interested!
And, to everyone: I hope your ability to succeed gets you through finals!
Best wishes to you all, and have a great summer!

PS: The rain gave us some really nice ambiance, despite the fact that we were kneeling on concrete - LOL!
