Golden Key is an honor society open to the top 15% of each university. The three pillars of Golden Key are Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. Our chapter places an emphasis on service and inclusion; we attempt to provide a variety of service activities for our members to get involved in. Our main events in the Fall semester are a charity walk (this year it was AIDS Walk DC) and a BeMore (we work with a group works with 5th and 6th graders to break down ethnic barriers through sports and facilitated discussions on why it is okay to be different). In the Spring, we will be starting up a tutoring program at Arbutus Middle School and working with Relay for Life. Our Better World Books book drive for children in Africa is ongoing throughout the year. We are always looking for new service projects so ideas from our members and board members are always welcome!
