Security Empire
CMSC Game Wants 2D Artists
posted about 12 years ago
Hi y'all,
Like I said in the meeting, Security Empire is looking for some 2D artists.
But first you must be wondering, What the heck IS Security Empire?
To make things short, Security Empire is a web-browser based Multi-player game that tries to teach and train (high school) students in the area computer security. To accomplish this, each student will control an "empire" (or company depending on your point of view) that is given an initial budget and a set of materials. Using the resources provided, the student is to build as many items as possible by means of trading and what not while trying to avoid malicious things such as Scams. A link to the repo and wiki has been posted if you want to learn more about it.
As for the style we are currently using, I guess the best way to describe it would be "techy art". For a more visual reference go to this link: (http://securityempire.cs.umbc.edu/sohisa1) and log in using a as the username and a as the password. You want to look at the items and the logo specifically to get a general idea of the art style.
If you're still interested in helping out, just send an email to Dr Olano (olano@umbc.edu) with your portfolio (website preferred for the sake of his inbox) and let's see where it goes from there.
Hope you're interested!
