You've asked for them...we're almost ready. UMBC faculty, staff and student employees will begin using Electronic Timesheet (ETS) during this academic year. The Human Resources (HR) Department and Department of Information Technology (DoIT) have worked with various division leaders to schedule a phased-approach in consideration of business process changes required for implementation.
The new ETS process will:
- eliminate the printing, manual completion and approval of timesheets;
- allow employees an on-line mechanism to pre-populate timesheets with work schedules;
- provide a mechanism for employees and supervisors to complete, review and approve timesheets from a personal computer or mobile device;
- provide user-friendly reports that will guide supervisors, payroll preparers and employees on the status and processing of timesheet data; and
- allow the University to meet required audit standards of positive timekeeping for all employees.
