This organization is being established for the purpose of eliminating stereotypes that exist about Baltimore City and it’s residents, as well as connecting students to events, activities, internships and network connections by traveling to fun activities/events within the city, inviting speakers who have worked or lived in Baltimore City and sharing positive stories about Baltimore City. Charm City Connections hopes to encourage members of the club as well as UMBC student body to question their implicit biases that may exist about residents of Baltimore City, promote UMBC to future students, and lastly, shift UMBC’s on-campus reputation to lively and interactive! This club is open to any and all and we especially hope to become a safe space for UMBC students from Baltimore City!
