Baltimore, MD - bwtech@UMBC Research and Technology Park was recently recognized in the Baltimore Business Journal as being the third largest incubator in the State of Maryland (read story here: (http://www.bizjournals.com/baltimore/subscriber-only/2015/01/09/incubators-and-accelerators.html). With approximately 120 companies within the Research Park, bwtech@UMBC offers a number of resources to not only attract companies to Maryland, but also to keep companies - primarily those focused in cybersecurity - in Maryland. bwtech@UMBC employs an Entrepreneur-in-Residence model for providing direct assistance to resident companies and affiliates. Entrepreneurs in Residence are serial entrepreneurs who assist clients in company operations and business development. They work directly with bwtech’s incubator companies to provide support and guidance on their go-to-market strategies, revenue generation models, business plan development, investor pitches and other needed areas (e.g., financing, management, etc.). Through discovery, bwtech@UMBC Entrepreneurs in Residence help companies set goals and milestones toward effective growth.
