Athena acquired the anti-inflammatory technologies of Meyer Pharmaceuticals, LLC (Irvine, CA).

Athena began working with Meyer Pharmaceuticals in 2003 when it developed the manufacturing process for MP’s lead molecule. Athena has since collaborated with MP to co-develop multiple drug candidates and members of its scientific staff are co-inventors on related patents. The acquisition gives Athena an exclusive world-wide patent portfolio for several anti-inflammatory molecules that represent a novel mode of action.
