Fiberight Facility Closer to Reality
MARION, IA (CBS 2/FOX 28) --A new waste-to-biofuel facility in Marion may be a step closer to becoming a reality. Tonight, Marion City Council members are set to vote on an incentive package for the Fiberight company. The company plans on building a 50-thousand square foot facility at this site in the Marion Industrial Center. That facility will take solid waste and convert it into renewable bio-fuels. The Marion economic development company says it will bring a boost to the area. The city council meeting starts tonight at 7. Even if it's approved, it's not a done deal. The city is still waiting for financial assistance from the state for the project.
