Are Winter courses easier than Fall/Spring courses?

"During winter session at UMBC, you can get ahead and earn up to 4.5 credits in just four weeks.

Winter session is a great opportunity to earn credit, whether you want to finish General Education Program (GEP) credits, or power through a challenging course for your major."

For me, higher-level math is very challenging. Is it really wise to attempt to complete a course I will likely struggle with in just four weeks? Are Winter courses "dumbed down" versions of their Fall/Spring counterparts?

Anyone with experience taking Winter courses at UMBC, please.
