Hail to the King

So, it's been several years now, understandable because one does not rush to replace a drummer like the Rev. Hail to the King is finally here, just downloaded my pre-order and am in musical bliss.
They stated that they wanted to go for an 80's metal style. Take it back some while still using elements of themselves to make something new, different and cool. I gotta say they hit the nail on the head, and I'm super happy about it.
I first started listening to music when I was around 14. Obviously I had heard music before, but seriously, not beyond mainstream whatever on the radio and what my dad listens to. Mainly Classic Rock and Bluegrass. My mom listens to nothing but classical music and while I an appreciate it's complexity and genius it's just not my thing.
That being said, the very first band I was into was Metallica. There is a lot of Ride the Lightning on Hail to the King, some Master of Puppets esque stuff. It's still original don't get me wrong, and I'm saying incorporating this stuff is a good thing. Anyways, Metallica was my first music love, quickly followed by Pantera (fun fact: Pantera was the inspiration for A7X, that's why they cover Walk), etc. I met Kirk Hammett once actually, freakin guitar god! He happened to move close to me so he could surf to help with his drug and alcohol addiction, that's cool, I guess celebrities can do shit like that. Anyways, he came into the grocery store I was working at once, my manager saw him and pointed him my way, cause my manager wasn't a douche and knew how much I liked Metallica. He came in a couple times after that too and it was really awesome to meet him, really great dude and his wife is cool too. LOL Derp, Celebrities have to eat too. Dog the Bounty Hunter used to come in too, but he was a gigantic douche and I hated him, and his wife. I digress, I'm trying to say there's a lot of really cool 80's metal elements in this album, that's what they were going for, and they did it well.
So anyways this has gone on and off topic multiple times now, is kinda all over the place and poorly written. Don't care, new A7X album.
I included an iTunes link, I assume that's what yall are all using. If not, use Google, can't make everyone happy. Check it out, if you like good music, you will not be disappointed.
