So, I had to drive down to North Carolina a while back.  I was out in the smokey mountains and the south western most part of the state.  It was quite awesome.  A good week filled with fishing, old Army friends, and of course beer.

I left on July 8th and it's now July 15, that's a whole week without internet.  It was good to get away for a while but I found myself in several situations where I thought to myself, "I kinda need to use the internet for this."  Obviously it wasn't required and I figured out how to do it without the internet, but it got me thinking.

Do yall remember when the internet actually came out?  I for one was in middle school.  I can't remember what we did back then.  Well that is, beyond going outside and riding my bike, playing with my dog, legos, etc.

Is it a good or bad thing that our society has gotten so dependent on the internet?  I'm thinkin it's a mixed bag.  It's hard to remember what we even did back then.
