Is Box best for file sharing?

The masters program I am in is not the most tech savvy, and there are only 14 of us.
So, I'll post this question here: Which online file service are y'all using, and are some better than others for say posting excel files for editing.
Thanks for responses that forward this conversation toward 'an answer' for our program's desire to join the 21st century in style.
