About the 400 Level Chemistry Courses

I'm a Biology major, but I have questions for you
Chemistry/Biochemistry/Environmental Science (Chemistry tract) people.
I'm rather curious as to how the 400 level classes are like for you
people. How do they compare to the 300 level classes such as Organic
Chemistry (CHEM351/352, and corresponding labs CHEM351L/352L),
Analytical Chemistry (CHEM300), and Physical Chemistry (CHEM301/302, CHEM303
for Biochemistry Majors)?
I'm looking at (but will not take) classes such as CHEM405 (Inorganic Chemistry; its corresponding lab is CHEM405L), CHEM435 (Biochemistry of Complex Carbohydrates), CHEM437/438 (Comprehensive Biochemistry I and II, with corresponding lab CHEM437L), CHEM444 (Molecular Modeling in Biochemistry), CHEM451 (Mechanisms of Organic Reactions), CHEM453 (Organic Chemistry of Nucleic Acids), CHEM455 (Introduction to Biomedical Chemistry), CHEM461 (Advanced Instrumental Methods of Analysis), and CHEM470 (Toxicological Chemistry). Well, I'm not taking them because I don't need them and I don't have time for them (although I could technically take them provided they didn't require CHEM437).
I have heard from some people how hard CHEM437/438 is (and how in BIOL430 - the Biological equivalent of Biochemistry, the instructor cracks jokes, even during exams) - they say they are even more difficult than Organic Chemistry. I have also talked to one person about CHEM470 and heard that several people (say, 24) took the class, and only half (say, 12) stayed - that person said that the reason was the difficulty of the class.
Anyways, I intend on graduating Fall 2013, so I won't be taking any of these classes, but I just want to hear thoughts about these classes - preferably if you have taken them yourselves.
