I'm wondering if taking special topics class will switch or change the grade of the old one. i know that UMBC has a policy that if you retake a class and get a better grade, it replaces the old grade. does that work the same way with different special topics classes?

cuz for example, you can take multiple POLI 409s because they're all different topics, but how does it work when it counts for gpa? would one best grade count? or will it all count separately for the gpa?
