URCAD should be a festival too

This may be a little late, but congratulations to everyone that participated in URCAD. I am so proud of the UMBC community. Its amazing to see your fellow students and colleagues explore the edge of creativity and research.
There were so many amazing things. I saw motion activated lighting on a dance, a story teller synthesizing things for the growing performing arts excellence that will make UMBC that much stronger as an institute. There were amazaing research posters from all fields. There was a 3D printer and a whole video game exhibit. Not to forget the food.
I think we should make URCAD a few days longer and get some of our sister campuses to come. Get a bunch of food. A ton. Where is our UMBC artscape?? Where are the engineering students and why are they not building alternative engines and filling the UMBC stadium to watch some crazy home built mario kart race built on magnets? Every class and field should participate in URCAD.
WE'RE #1 UMBC. Every breath of this school reflects that. Get involved. Help URCAD grow bigger. Then, a decade from now, we can say, "Remember the Day we, as students decided our Achievement Day was worth national and hemispherical if not down right global acclaim." Get proud and realize you are equal to the excellence you see here and throw down at URCAD!
