What is Baltimore Vegfest?

In case people haven't seen, there is a big banner in the Commons Mainstreet advertising Baltimore Vegfest. UMBC Vegetarians and the Humane League of Maryland have partnered to bring back Baltimore Vegfest for the third year! This will be the biggest one yet!
So, what is Baltimore Vegfest? Baltimore Vegfest is an afternoon festival that promotes healthy, sustainable, and compassionate eating choices through a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle. The last two years have been a hit and we encountered over 1000 people each year.
Everyone who is anyone (including 4 legged friends), meat eater or veg, is welcome to come out to this FREE event on Erickson field April 27th (This Saturday) from 11- 4 p.m to enjoy the many types of festivities listed below.
There will be:
+++ Delicious food & free samples (including sugary sweets!!)
+++ Non-Profit organizations
+++ Live music
+++ Speakers
+++ Nutritional experts
+++ Vegan cooking demonstrations
+++ A kids area
+++ Raffles
+++ Gift bags
+++ Adoptable dogs
