Fifty two percent of Americans now support legalization.
In 1991 that was seventeen percent.
Extrapolating roughly, support for legalization hits 75% in 13 years.
"The overall shift in support is driven by younger Americans who overwhelmingly support legalization, with nearly two-thirds of people born since 1980 (between ages 18 and 32) saying marijuana should be legal (65 percent). "
Maryland is considering SB 297 decriminalizing small amounts of marijuana.
Rhode Island decriminalized small amounts on Monday.
States that have decriminalized it: Alaska, Oregon, California, Nevada, Colorado, Nebraska, Minnesota, Mississippi, Ohio, North Carolina, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Maine.
