Access to syllabi during pre-registration?
Should professors post "typical" syllabi during registration
posted over 11 years ago
Have you ever gotten into a semester only to realize that your classes line up TOO well when you get your syllabi? With exams and papers always due at the same time in every class... and it's too late to drop one and add another because all the classes you need are full...
What if professors posted typical syllabi for the classes they will teach in the coming semester during registration for that semester? You'd be able to look at the syllabi and decide whether you can survive taking orgo and genetics simultaneously, or whether due dates for your English class and your advanced topics in Poli-Sci will happen too close to each other. You could balance project and exam heavy classes with ease.
These syllabi WOULD NOT be the official syllabi for the coming semester, just an idea of what the class looks like when Dr. SoAndSo teaches it.
Vote YES if you want the chance to plan your semester smarter!
