Is having an Internship just as important as your degree?
in today's economy is experience before graduation expected?
Recently in one of my 400 level classes a teacher asked what experience we had in our major... out side of the classroom. I was surprised at how few people had any experience with internships or jobs relating to our major. I was under the impression that internships had developed into an almost expected minimum for graduates entering the work force. I was even disappointed that I did not even learn about internships til after my sophomore year. I spent my freshmen and sophomore summers doing nothing or working retail type jobs...
So what is your opinion,
Is having an Internship just as importnat as your degree?
In today's economy is experience before graduation expected?
