Stop asking random questions that imply you already know the material.
All it does is make the class think you're a douche.
Everyone knows something already before it is taught, but if you just sit quiet, everyone benefits.
If you really want to show off to the teacher that you're uber l33t, do it after class. Kay? Cool thanks.
If you've had someone in your class do something like this, show your support. Props to professors who point this out and take a stand (Like when Prof. Frey says "I dunno what you're talking about". Epic.)
