How to send an email to classmates?

I've been getting emails from classmates (Who I don't know) asking for notes with an "excuse" for their absence. It seems like those who send emails are sending it to every classmates. How do you do that? I always found them annoying, and now I need to do exactly same thing. Your answers are appreciated!
