Has anyone else been charged a bogus fee for not returning an inconsequential library item? I was charged $50 for returning an expo marker 1 day late to the library. The lady at the front desk said I was charged $2 for every hour it was late. This is just ridiculous to me...I thought about going to the newspaper but wanted to see if something similar had happened to anyone else first.
