For those of you who are unaware, here is a little bit of information about Teach For America:
Teach For America is a national non-profit organization leading the movement to end education inequity in America. Today, nearly 16 million children are living in poverty and being deprived of a proper education—most of them are minorities and come from low-income communities. With that being said, this is your opportunity to transform children's lives and put them on a pathway to a successful college and professional career.
Teach For America is working to eliminate this inequity by recruiting seniors of all majors and all racial/ethnic backgrounds to teach for two years in one 46 regions across America.
